Take Your Dog to Work Day

Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day where your canine pals can go with you to your workplace.  So guess who the hu-dad decided to take to work?

Pick me. Pick me.

The hu-dad decided – none of us.  Can you believe it?  Something about wanting to remain employed next week.  Hrmph.  Who does he think we are?

Oh.  Yeah.

It is more comfortable here anyway.

Are any of you getting to go somewhere cool today?

Wow your hu-dad is a creative, huh? I wish at least one of you had the chance to go to work with him because I would love to see some of the havoc he makes…mom is a painter and dad an architect here, so my question is: is havoc 2D or 3D?

I got to go with dad this afternoon to his architecture firm…everyone there loves me and gives me treats. AND I get to play hall ball down the long hallway that connects the offices and studios. Quinn stayed home.

What a cool, cool idea! Don’t think we have it on this side of the world…although I guess I’m lucky in that I work from home so Honey can come to work with me everyday…if she has enough energy to make the commute from the living room to the study, that is! 😀

We all helped Mom in the Studio today, but for some reason Dad finds us “distracting” and won’t let us help him. Can you believe that?

  14. Sagira on June 25, 2010 at 1:44 pm

Mom couldn’t take me to work either so she just took the day off so she could be with me. 🙂

I take my both mine to work every day! The commute is a doozy though. moving from the bed upstairs to the office beds downstairs… ya, not easy. but since we are dog-pooling, we get to use the high-occupancy lane.

personally, i think you should have taken all 6 to work. what do you need a job for anyway? isn’t walking and playing with 6 sibes enough of a job? geeesh…

Bummer! Kona’s with me at work (home) everyday. That’s why we go for long trail runs and hikes in the morning or I would never get anything done. It’s already a challenge with Kona on daily squirrel patrol–hear squirrel in the yard=squeal until the human lets you outside, then bark until the squirrel’s in the neighbor’s yard…such a predictable co-worker.

The hu-dad did not trust the Cheesewhiz to do an extended Pet Therapy-type visit at his workplace?? Can’t imagine why…..what could possibly have gone awry? The hu-dad’s bosses would have fawned all over her. A missed opportunity to make a lasting impression. Snort!

Bunny and Blueberry have gone to work with me before, but the whole summer break thing sort of makes that not possible today. I can’t believe you didn’t at least take Cheoah! She could have sung for everyone today and made the office so much more pleasant! Plus, she’s such a good girl!

  19. MAXMOM on June 25, 2010 at 8:55 am

Oh how I wish we had some ‘take your animal to work days’ here! What an awesome idea!

No work for me today either. I think there should be a take your human to work day. Then they could stay home and nap all day and feed me delicious treats!

  21. Beckett on June 25, 2010 at 7:54 am

That mom gave me the same line! What’s up with that? I have no idea why she thinks taking me to the library isn’t a good idea…

My Pops doesn’t start his new job till July, so he doesn’t have anywhere to take me. And Momma’s office is boooooring! So no, I didn’t want to go anyway!

The Beagle from down the road said the grapes at offices taste sour. I wouldn’t know… I’ve never eaten a grape before.
