Ruby Tuesday – Sentry Duty

Why am I always being warned to stay back from the counters?

And when you eat out on the deck, I am expected to maintain a certain distance.

No one will notice if I get close to the table. Argh! Glass top table!

Mr. Goody Four Paws sits in the corner of the deck acting all angelic.

Tartok even tries the cute routine.

This photo may be blurry, but bet you can figure out which one of us was working the table.

P.S. - For those who were curious what the fabric seen at the hu-grandmom's house was going to be used for, here is the end result. Looks great, huh?

Our bipeds maintain a food perimeter too. We use the inch-worm technique to move in unnoticed (almost). It doesn’t work either.

Glass tables are the enemy of scrap hunters everywhere. And the children who love to feed them. πŸ™‚

    The curtains look wonderful!

When my mom really wants us to behave when we go out to eat with them, we get bully sticks. So I think it’s only fair that you get one too.

Face it Ruby, they just don’t understand you.

We know about your escapades, Ruby, so we know why you have to stay away from the counter and the table! We’re not falling for the innocent act!

I like to think that you are reminding the humans of the essential historical bond between canine and man. Humans have gotten so complacent now that dinner comes from the grocery and not from hunter/gatherer activities. You could bet you’d get to share if you helped them take down a wooly mammoth for dindin!

Ruby, we think they’ve got your number. You may have to resort to the cuteness factor.

Love the way the window treatment came out. Very nice. Is the hu-Grandmom up for hire? We have a few windows in need of something nice.

Poor Ruby. Given the guilty verdict before any crime has been committed. She needs a better lawyer and publicist!

Oh wow! I love those curtains! I need something like that!

Ruby, I am shocked yet again that people always suspect the worst of you! I mean look at you, a sweet, innocent little Sibe, and you didn’t even get a bite!

Tell Ruby’s Mom, I think her window treatment is just beautiful and a perfect choice of fabric!

As far as keeping Sibes away from the food, all I can say is Good Luck!

    Cheers,
    Jo, Stella and Zkhat!

Poor Ruby. I know how you feel. I get told off to stay away from the kitchen counter too, esp when my humans are using the stove. One of my fav spots is by the sink! Unfortunately my humans have a strict no feeding from the table rule for this canine… Sigh…

If we would let Sam near the plates he would hover mere inches above the food. He never touches it, but he sees how close he can get.

It is terrible how stingy humans are about sharing their food!
Just be patient …… an opportunity always comes along.
We like your new window pelmet – very smart.
