Ruby Tuesday – Testing Fabrics

In our Tuesday tradition, we visit the hu-grandmom’s house and check in on the Suberian residents – Tartok and Ruby.

Ruby here - just walking across the new rug to settle onto MY couch.

From this perch, I can look at the new rug and the fabric that mom has draped over the couch to see what matches the rug.

I am testing to see which fabric picks up the most of my glorious fur. And they say I am not helpful.

That is a wonderful rug. Did you help pick it out? Did your family take some fur to the store to coordinate colors? That would have been smart.
That second picture, you look like you are comfy testing. Which feels better?

I don’t shed enough to mark things with my fur. I have to resort to Golden Offerings instead!

    Lovely rug!
Wonder how it would look after 3 Labs took a nap on it?

How sweet of you, Ruby, to be so helpful and thoughtful! I hope you got some extra treats for that!

Woo, Ruby! It’s me – Dave. Guide Dog for the Color Blind. I know about this “testing fabrics” stuff. PACE YOURSELF! Really. You MUST be careful not to do too much at once!
I hope you took a nap after all that. In fact, I think I need one just watching you work. Woo.
    Luv,
    DAve

We think your furs will blend quite well with the new rug. Did you snag any of whatever that was on the table?

N&B aren’t very helpful when it comes to decorating, either.

That’s a very noble experiment! I hope everyone appreciates the effort and time that you put in to depositing your fur samples all over. Layla likes to put samples in my food, in hopes that I won’t eat it and share with her.

PS ~ I totally agree about if we were going to introduce anybody to have it be on neutral ground. That’s probably another reason that Layla is okay with other dogs at classes and trials, because it’s neutral.

Oh Well Done!!! Hope you had enough furs to leave there after that big brushing you had this weekend!

Dear Ruby, I think your mom should appreciate your help for being there to let them see whether they should have that fabric and rug on the couch.

  22. KB on June 1, 2010 at 9:01 am

Ruby – You are SO helpful πŸ™‚ This way, they know NOT to get the one that picks up the most fur!

Is that food on the table in front of you? Were you eying it? What a good girl, not going for it given your counter surfing history.

  23. Desert Pups on June 1, 2010 at 8:47 am

    Woof Herd,

Don’t they realize that fur retention testing is very important? How else would they know? Hope all is well in Carolina.

  24. Life With Dogs on June 1, 2010 at 8:10 am

Oh if that’s the case you need to take my car seats – they don’t just pick it up – they refuse to let it go!

  25. Priscilla on June 1, 2010 at 3:33 am

Looks like you have so much fun there! Even the furniture becomes your property :))
