Ruby Tuesday – Pre-Rinse Edition

Ruby here - From the Thundering Herd Annex

Can you believe the hu-dad almost forgot to post about me on this Tuesday?

Well, about US, but Tartok is a little busy helping as the pre-rinse cycle for the dishwasher.

Wait a minute. He isn't getting foodables over there, is he?

Must be prepared in case food happens.

I am going to starve with that Ruby around here.

Aaron is one of those chef’s that likes to lob food around like it is a basketball court. Sam usually gets really lucky!

Ok, that seriously looks like the best job! Too bad we don’t have a dishwasher! Maybe I’ll have to start counter surfing! 🙂

Moo is our pre-rinse specialist around here. It used to be me. Those girls like to take over when they move in.

Even though I always root for Ruby to get some foodables, I am starting to feel a little bad for Tartok. Maybe your dad can sneak him something good next time he visits the Annex.

Me and the fellas want a pre-rinse foodable. We are’t allowed to eat in the peeps kitchen or dinin’ room….the peeps have crazy rules about lookin’ but not touchin’ when in peep zone…whatever that is.

    Thanks for the support

Oh yes, all dogs love to hang around the kitchen, “just in case” we get a treat! I guess, with a herd, there is always a little competition for that spot.

Hee! Hee! I Love that idea: “pre-rinse for the dishwasher” – ha! ha! Now that’s a job I’d like to have too! Although sadly I am not allowed in the kitchen so I have never been near the dishwasher!

No pre rinsing pups here, Mom rinses them too well in the sink first. But TD is really getting muscled out of the way by his little sister. Must be a girl thing.

We have friends who had two dogs and the dogs got to pre-rinse each of the dinner dishes each night. Just recently the family took in a foster rescue. NOW they have to make an extra plate dirty just so all THREE dogs get a plate! Isn’t that cool?

On an unrelated but VERY important note; please help: Only 4 days left! We need 140 more comments and we are running out of time!!!! Let’s not fall short of the maximum $500 donation for animal rescue! One more time visit Ben at http://lifeon3legs….wordpress.com/2010/03/18/a-year-ago/ and leave the comment, “Ben You Rock! Send your friends. Come On!!!! We only have until April 10th to help this great cause! Do it for Ben…do it for Khyra…do it for all of the animals that will be helped!

The price of foodables is constant vigilance. Or something like that.

  24. Wild Dingo on April 6, 2010 at 10:52 am

Ruby, i can’t get OVER how fast you fit in there. I mean, it looks like your long lost home. like you were born to live there. the Herd Annex is like your birth right or something. and yet, with Juno, sometimes she still looks like she’s walking on eggshells in our house. Tartok must have done a proper welcoming when you arrived! But maybe now he’s regretting it since he has to share the left overs? 😉

  25. Stella on April 6, 2010 at 9:57 am

What KB said . . .always make it look like it is a rough job and most unpleasant. Ruby will be off snoozing in her chair and leaving you to your awful job!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  26. KB on April 6, 2010 at 9:49 am

My dogs never knew about helping with the pre-rinse cycle until a friend’s dog taught them about a month ago. Now, they drive us nuts! But, it is foodables!!!

Your mistake, Tartok, was letting Ruby know that what you were doing was fun. You should’ve sighed as if it was a terrible burden!

  27. Kira The BeaWoootiful on April 6, 2010 at 9:19 am

Wooos Tartok and Ruby! woo are going to have to learn to share, or else Mom will close that door furever.. I know, she closed ours, no more pre-washes…. one too many arguments at the dishwasher…

I think that if Ruby and Rusty ever put their heads together we’d be in for total world domination! Be patient, Tartok, she has to sleep sometime.

I think Blueberry has been watching Rusty’s walking maneuvers. She tried that last night on me and I wasn’t even the one holding her leash!

  29. Huskys Rule on April 6, 2010 at 8:34 am

Sorry Tartok about Ruby trying to get in on your pre-rinse gig ….. tell her there is no food involved in this chore.

Just tell her it’s snowing. She’ll have he snooter plastered to the window and you can pig out!

That’s why, Ruby, you should take charge of this blog. In our home Linguini is responsible for the pre-rinsing 🙂
