Friday Evening Snow Walk

Pups, we have to tell you how hard things have been this week.  Can you believe that we went 30 hours STRAIGHT without any winter weather warnings?  Whatever is a Siberian supposed to do?  But at least some more snow moved in Friday afternoon and we had a great walk Friday night.  All was right with the world because it was snowing and, very importantly, we beat the snow plow.  Here are some pictures from the walk:

Red Team - in a blur

Black and White Team

Kiska covered in the falling snow

Kiska telling everyone to hurry it up.

Qannik practicing his winter camouflage

Queen Natasha setting the pace

Kodiak and Cheoah waiting on Rusty to catch up

Rusty - Why does everyone want me to stay in step?

Because I like to march to my own drummer

Phantom and Kiska would get along quite well. Phantom is always wanting to get “there”, doesn’t matter where “there” is, just let’s go. And then there’s Rusy – ya gotta love him.

    Happy Valentine’s Day to you.

    Woos, Phantom and Thunder

    Hello Thundering Herd,

It’s nice to meet you. Thanks for visiting my blog. You guys and gals sure are beautiful! My mom just says WOWZERS…now that’s alot of sibes! It’s great that some of you are rescues just like I am! I know you sibes love the snow but me….give me the warm weather and the sunshine…I don’t like cold and not too fond of the snow…check out my videos on my blog when mom put boots on me. Really though the boots are a necessity for me and the coat when it gets below zero here I can only go outside for minutes then I can’t walk…you know I’m an old gal and would rather stay inside tucked under my blankie.

Nice to meet you guys and hope to see you around.

Rusty, you remind me a lot of Lucy. Do it if you have to, but always try to march to your own drummer. So what happened to that “this storm will move south of us” thing? Oh, I forgot. All of you were wishing for more snow.

  10. Steve & Kat on February 13, 2010 at 2:30 pm

How do your humans get anywhere if Rusty doesn’t pull them? I guess the rest of the red team has to pick up the slack.

Great snow-walking photos. I hope both teams behaved. Enjoy while it lasts, I hear lots of Sibes complaining about lack of snow. Unfair of course, when we know that 49 states have snow.
    Twink!

Hi ya pals! Can I get in on a snow walkie sometime? Would be fabulous! I LOVE the snow as you know, and you all get to do so many great walkies in the white stuff. Do you all do some trail blazin’ in the snow?
    Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

    Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
    Sierra Rose

Rusty, there is NOTHING wrong with marching to your own tune. Really. I mean, I get that a lot around here.
Where’s Qannik in that one photo? I saw his name in the caption, but can’t see him!
We’d post pix of our Friday walk in the snow, except there was one key element missing. Wanna guess what that is?!?!
    Play bows,

Now those are the proper conditions for walking Siberians! Oh my dog, if Qannick covered his nose with his paw and closed his eyes, he’d go *poof* and vanish completely!

Rusty – Ignore those who want you to stay in step. You’re way too much fun marching to your own drummer. I am having a very funny vision of trying to walk you and my R on leash together. You’d each have your own crazy drum beat. It would be hysterical! I might end up wound in leashes!

  21. tula on February 13, 2010 at 7:18 am

Hey T-herd, mom wants to borrow Kiska to keep me in line! she says i’m like Rusty.. moving at my own speed.

don’t cha love being the first paws in the snow!

  22. Tucker on February 13, 2010 at 6:46 am

Can I join your team? I’m a pretty good puller on my walkies sometimes. But, you won’t want me in the lead cause I tend to get distracted and wander off sniffing.

  23. Suka on February 13, 2010 at 4:19 am

I was furry happy to read that all is right in your World. Snow does that, doesn’t it?

Kiska, you look so furry pretty telling everyone to hurry up! Why was there no photo of Qannik?
