Dear Readers – Qannik here. Serious request today and no playing around.
As most of you know, the dog blogging world creates the opportunity to make many great virtual friends – people and dogs you may or may not actually ever get to meet in real life, but that you care about. We have such a friend – both human and canine – that needs our thoughts and prayers today. So can you please take a moment and send good vibes.
First, is our human friend KB of Romping and Rolling in the Rockies. Today, KB is having surgery to fuse vertebrae in her neck. Our hu-dad had back surgery almost six years ago and while it was no where near as serious as KB’s, he has great empathy for the challenges that face KB in the surgery and in the recovery.
At the same time, one of KB’s canine pack – K – is recovering from emergency surgery.
We can only imagine the challenges of having both a human and a canine recovering from surgery at the same time.
KB – We are thinking of you and praying for the quickest and most complete recovery and are certainly thinking of K at the same time and hoping for her complete recovery as well.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
We said our prayers for them!
You guys are the sweetest! I’m on my way to say hello to KB and K and the rest of their family/pack. I’m taking my momma with me, since she empathizes with KB.

Mommy recently went through lots of tests and check ups too, ruling out cervical spondylosis but her neck and back problem still comes and goes.
Me and the fam will keep our paws and fingers crossed for KB and K! We will send tons of good vibes and well wishes your way!
To the Herd, thanks a million for sharing this, very very considerate and kind of you!

I feel for her. My aunt just had back surgery, so I know how rough it can be. We’ll be thinking of her and praying that it’s a success. I’m glad K’s surgery was apparently a success and I hope she heals quickly. Healing thoughts for both of them headed that way.
Dear Qannik,
The local coyotes got word to my little sister, Jessica Eleanor Guppie Jr. Jr., that our Auntie KB is doing great post-surgery…apparently it was a text-book surgery (can coyotes read text books?).
The wild pups also shared that K & R are with their papa camping out near the hospital and they are all doing very well.
Please share the news with Auntie KB’s many virtual friends via the howliphone.
By the way, I wonder if you like carrots? We sure do. If you were here I would share my carrot with you.

We will definitely keep our paws crossed.
Good thoughts for a quick recovery for both.
I have all my paws crossed and am purring my very hardest for KB and K to make full recoveries.
We’ve been thinking a lot about KB and K lately, too! I’m going to miss my fix of that wildlife camera in the next weeks, but I am praying for the very best for both of them! At least they’ll have each other for company while they recuperate.
Wonderful post, DK and Quannik, we are going to miss out on our mountain fix, but my thoughts and prayers are for KB and Ks fast healing.
Kisses,
Stella
