Watching Skiers and Snowboarders

Saturday was one of those great Siberian Days – snowy and cold – highs in the teens (F).  So we took the humans trekking through the fields and out to our favorite tree.  And Cataloochee Ski Resort was running strong, so we paused a while to watch the skiers and snowboarders – always a fun way to spend some time.  Hope you enjoy our walk.

Our field with our favorite tree and the ski resort. No paw prints in our field yet!

How dull life would be without Rusty’s antics! Our snow is hanging around with pretty low temps and there’s nothing like a good roll on the crunchy stuff first thing in the morning.

Nothing better then a good walking adventure and chinwag (chat)!

You know what? We think there’s nothing more fitting than Sibes in the snow. We love looking at all your pictures. You look amazingly happy and beautiful.

Thanks for sticking with us during our seemingly endless absence from the blog. We hope the beginning of 2010 has been good for you, and we look forward to sharing more adventures with each other. It has been great getting to know you. We feel very lucky.

    Love

This is so beautiful, I’m not even going to mention how cold it made me feel. Guys! Think about your humans. Mercy… Do you ever let them enjoy a nice cup of soup by the fireplace or do you keep dragging them out in the snow?
    Twink!

Looks just like the kind of day all of us sibes love!!! We had tracks all over our yard and then the wind came along and smoothed it all out. So back we went and tracked it all up again and back came the wind. So it went all day that day. We have warmed up to the 20s today but the snow is still here.

    Thanks for the Rusty laugh.

Mum says she enjoys looking at the skiers and thinking how their legs will hurt at the end of the day, and hers will not 🙂 (She used to be a tour guide for a ski company, you see)

Thanks for taking me on your walk! Its still too cold here to be out walking, but in a day or two!

It would be fun to watch those skiers and boarders.
I love to watch all the people I see on my walks.

    Kisses,
    Stella

  23. achieve1dream on January 10, 2010 at 10:33 am

That is a lot of skiers! How do they not run over each other?

  24. Houndstooth on January 10, 2010 at 9:42 am

If that bulldog (the name escapes me at the moment) can ride a skateboard, surely The Herd could learn to ride snowboards! Rusty could do it for sure!

  25. KB on January 10, 2010 at 9:30 am

I bet that the dogs are obsessed with the skiers – I’m sure that my pups would be. After all, they’re moving new objects in their world.

It really does look like the B & W team is gossiping, and then trusty Rusty tells them to get a move on!

  26. norwood on January 10, 2010 at 6:50 am

    Hi Black and White Team..
How you gonna let that rust bucket roo you around! It must be fun to watch skiers.. anyone snow shoe or xcountry ski near your parts? I have a fav tree to in the middle of my field. Lots of bunny and squirrels go there too

  27. Martha and Bailey on January 10, 2010 at 5:53 am

Don’t you just love a field where there is not one pawprint! Then you can run through it leaving all yours!
That was a lovely walk – isn’t the snow great! That was a cool ski slope too – it would be fun watching humans whooshing down there!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
