Breaking Trail in Deep Snow

Finally, YouTube cooperated and we were able to upload the video we meant to post yesterday. We went for what we thought would be a simple little walk, but it took a little more effort because we were the first people / dogs / creatures that had ventured this way after this weekend’s snowfall. We had a blast though we were all a little tired in the end.

Stella and I are gonna go out in the backyard and play a little Wubba, but thats about as hard as either of us want it to get. We still have more snow coming. They are predicting a possible 16 to 18 inches in total. When I was a kid in Minniesnowda s three day blizzard wasn’t so unusual as they are now. Just three days of stay home from school glory!

    Cheers,
    Jo and Stella

Looks like a lot of work but oh so much fun!!! We really enjoy watching Rusty. We still have rain coming down but those weather pros are stills aaying 5-8 inches of white fluff overnight. We can’t wait.

Wishes to you and the family for a Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

I just love how happy they look slogging through the snow! We broke a few snow trails with Tucker and Trixie back in the day when we lived in New York. Trixie liked it just as much as the Herd, but Tucker sometimes insisted on being carried through the deeper spots!

What a hike! I was tired after only few minutes on the trails on Tuesday. And we’ve got less snow than you do!

That is some deep snow! I bet Dad is tired too because that takes a lot of energy! Love the video!

    Merry Christmas!

I am tired just watching them plow through, but I think Bunny would have a great time keeping up with them! Lilac and Blueberry would completely revolt, however, and demand to be carried back to a ski lodge someplace!

Your dogs are totally out of shape. No wonder they’re “tired”. Rusty and Cheoah didn’t break to hunt, the breaked to catch their dog breath! Don’t you ever exercised them? poor things… and you expect them to go walking in such conditions…

nothing makes me happier than seeing a bunch of pantyloons looping through the deep snow. and of course, rusty, breaking his “own” trail!

we’re insanley jealous over here in NorCal… (well, only one of us 4 is jealous… hmmm, wonder wooo?)

Merry Christmas, beautiful herd. We can’t think of a more majestic sight than that of you in the snow during the holidays. We hope your days are wonderful. And we thank you for your friendship. Looking forward to many more adventures in the new year.

    Love,
    Jake and Fergi xxoo
