Tricks of the Annex – Part II

Wooo – A sequel.  Sequels are where everyone just goes through the motion and gets paid anyway, right?  We can handle that.  Anyway, Monday we showed you some tricks that our cousins perform on command.  Totally weird.  Today, we show you tricks they do because it benefits them.  That we understand.  Ready?

I’m so jealous of Ruby! I wish I had the guts to grab stuff off the counter! 🙂

    Love the pics!

Ruby is not stealing. This is a game called Dog Fun, can you get the bread before someone calls you on it. Sometimes you win (no calls) and sometimes, like this day, you lose. But you never quit playing!

Have fun, Ruby, should be cookies out soon!

    Kisses,
    Stella

I can’t move off the first centerfold photo. Hmm why is there always bread sitting out over there. I guess Ruby can tell me. She has excellent counter surfing moves.

Great tricks. I am still trying to study Ruby so I can be just like her on kitchen patrol. It would help if our kitchen was a completely separate room instead of open to the living room where Mom can see from the couch.

Tucker would have been like, “They’re too far away and holding a camera, I can totally snatch this before they can stop me.”

Your Mama is so creative! We have never eaten bananas, but Mom was sure drooling over that bread. Good thing Ruby is on patrol! Would she take food off the counter if she had the opportunity? Great sequel!

  16. KB on December 16, 2009 at 8:39 am

Awesome photo series! I think that my K appreciates having our young R again for that very reason. She looks like a saint by comparison!

BTW, K reacted exactly the same way as Nikita to bananas the first time I gave her a piece. Took it in her mouth, kind of moved it around like she was pretending to eat it, made a funny face, and spit it out. But, I picked it up and gave it to her again, and after the whole routine, sans the funny face, she ate it. Now, she has amazing banana radar, appearing by my side like an apparition whenever I start to peel a banana.

Our other dogs have never expressed any interest in bananas… but it might be funny to offer R a piece to see how he reacts.

    Dogs are so funny!
