Four Wheel Drive Challenge

IMG_5751

Since we live in the mountains, many of the roads that we travel are not paved.  It is important to have a vehicle that can handle these challenges, and that is one of the many reasons that we have a Jeep (Ok.  That, and our hu-dad loves driving it).  The Jeep can handle mud, snow, off-road, etc.  In a week like this past one where all of the dirt roads are snow covered, you often are slinging a fair bit of mud on the Jeep.  Not a problem.

Well, it might be a problem if your favorite riding position is hanging out the window like Kodiak.  Have no fear for his safety, he is only allowed to do this on roads where speeds are slow and he always, always, always wears his seat belt (the black harness around his body).  Unfortunately, all of those safety tactics do not protect him from the danger of four wheel drive:

I think that makes Kodiak look all rugged like a bad boy. Girls love bad boys.

Oh, that’s funny! Sorry to laugh at your expense Kodiak, but that’s just cute. Thanks for making my human mom laugh. She really needed a laugh today.

Kodiak was so due for a spa mud treatment. Please make sure he gets a mani-pedi, followed by a shiatsu massage and cukecumbers on his baggy eyes….

    😉

Totally worth it in my opinion.

What kind of seat belt harness do you have? My humans are trying to find something that would work when walking too.

I used to look like that from time to time after a particularly muddy bout of mountain biking …

A boys gotta do what a boys gotta do! A few dirt freckles are a small price to pay for serious observation!

Oh Kodiak…you look like Tammy sometimes looks!!! – although yours is unintentional! Our Tammy purposely seeks out those ‘drips’ from our trees and roofs – and lies under them. I think she has secret desires of being a dalmation!
    Thanks for making us laugh!
