Ruby Settling In

We have told you the story of finding Ruby and hooking her up with the perfect home, with our hu-grandparents and our cousin Tartok.  Now we need to tell you the real fun.  You see, Tartok is too incredibly well behaved to be a Siberian Husky.  He does not get on furniture or counter surf or any of those Siberian qualities that endear us so much to our humans.  Ruby, however, is adding some Siberian flavor to the house.

Mmmmmm – dinner smells good

Would I cause problems?

Oh – the Roll Incident. It was just ONE pan of rolls.

But they were so close to the edge of the counter

And I did leave you some for dinner

Is there a problem with that?

I will just sit here innocently

The floor is slick.  My legs are sliding.

Way to go Ruby! You have to make sure your humans get the full enjoyment of being owned by a Siberian and obviously Tartok wasn’t going to do it!

PS. Keep an eye open for cupcakes. Those are really tasty.

it is important to have some flavor in the house – or else it would be too boring

Ruby- The humans need to watch their carb intake anyways. You make a great personal trainer. Silly humans.

Believe me, peoples, this is no big deal. Ruby just sampled a few rolls that were right at the VERY END of the counter. Somebody mentioned gravies but you gotta be careful of what is burning hot and what is not. As long as you only take your share of rolls, its OK.

    My Mom never makes rolls.

It’s lucky Ruby is there to teach Tartok to be a proper Siberian!

Ruby was just trying to protect the humans by making sure that the rolls weren’t contaminated in anyway.

BOL!!!! Oh I know you are INNOCENT! It was those darned squirrels that were having a carb-attack! I mean… we’re carnivores, right? why would we want bread rolls? (shhhh… don’t tell my momster I covet her cookies…!)

Ruby you were totally framed. It was a trap.. How could any pup resist rolls so close to the edge of the counter.. Louie is our roll thief.. Maybe it is a Red thing?

Oh Ruby!! What a naughty girl! I’m like your brother. Not much of a Siberian. Only bad thing I do is escape from outdoor pens and sometimes I just run away to keep my humans on their toes. I always come back though. 😀

I think that all dogs whose names start with R have these endearing qualities! Way to go Ruby… enjoy it while you can because your humans will be trained soon. Then, there won’t be anything within reach unless you are very sneaky. That’ll be a sad day for you.

With your eyes, Ruby, you could get away with anything!

Did you get caught in the act, Ruby? If not, then surely don’t let them pin the blame on you. After all, there ARE two of you there. Maybe Tartok was setting you up.

Woos and happpy weekend, hope you get that snow – the OP Pack

Way to go, Ruby!!! Not as sweet as the plateful of German chocolate brownies I scored last year, but still! Next time, wait till there’s gravy nearby. Mmmm.

That pan of rolls looks perfectly NORMAL… to Juno. I’ll bet the hu-grandparents are wondering how they ever survived with only ONE sibe. a half-eaten pan of rolls is such a small price to pay… and just THINK of all the things Ruby can teach Tartok! Tartok is going to wonder why he didn’t know any of these sibe tricks before (the HERD held out on him!) Juno taught Loki to counter surf (he ate a whole stick of butter) and Loki eventually taught Juno to “play bite” the mommy: http://www.wilddingo.com/2009/01/26/random-dog-tails/ (oh an i think there’s a vid in there for you too.)
play bows to Ruby’s huge score in the sport of counter surfing!
