Beautiful Weather

Hope all of you are having a great weather weekend like we are.  The day was absolutely spectacular here:

Funny thing about weather in the mountains.  The variability can be really crazy.  We told you that the predicted high yesterday was 69 F (20 C).  Well, the official high ended up being 74 F (23 C).  But see, our weather thingie on our blog reads in the valley.  We are always cooler at the house because we are about 1500 feet higher (450 meters).  Our high on our weather station read 63 F (17 C) yesterday.  Pretty cool, huh?

Let’s just say it was great weather for singing.  Oh, yeah, and hiking.  Our humans always bring along lots and lots of water for us, but we really did not drink a lot yesterday.  The weather was just so nice on the hikes that we did not really need it.  (P.S. – Brice – No, we have our humans well trained.  They carry our water; we don’t carry theirs).

And besides, we kept our feety-feet nice and wet because the rains earlier in the week kept the trails wet as you can see here. Somehow, our humans were not as happy about that as we were.

Hope everyone has a Happy Sunday

Did you get your tummies muddy as well and then go back and nap on the couch?

What great hiking conditions – we like when it is cooler and wet out too – it has been way too hot for us lately

Oooh, I love muddy feety-feet! Mom hates it! She’s always complaining about the paw prints by the kitchen door and the occasional paw print on the white sneaker. What’s wrong with that?

Did you make nice patterns in the house with your dirty paws? Mum loves it when I run over the white tiles with wet paws.

I want to grab Kiska’s tail and spray it with pledge… and lead her around my house… 🙂

wet paws=keep dogs cool. they do that with the kiddie pools at training on hot days. it’s GOOD for them! but not for the house!!!!

We’re always hotter in the summer because we’re on top of a hill and colder in the winter for the same reasons. (Our “official” weather for the town is taken at the airport.) The reason? The KS wind. It blows like a blast furnace in the summer and a lovely deep-freeze in the winter. Ah…. winter.

Wow, I’m jealous of your weather. It’s hotter than that here, about 80 degrees. We still had a nice walk though, but no geese today. Guess we scared them off yesterday!

The Herd had a wonderful time, I am sure. The mud alone would have brought on a song from them!

We are supposed to get up in the 80s F today, but at 11 am its only 68F. It is pretty out though, so we will take a walk soon.

    Kisses,
    Stella

So who was singing – you or the humans? Great temps for long hiking. We have another good day on tap here. Phantom is hoping Mom will let him walk a little farther. Hope the feet weren’t too muddy.

    Uh oh, dirty paws!

Glad to hear someone else carries their dogs’ water. I tried to get my dog accommodated to packs, starting with them empty. She got the most forlorn look on her face, and pretended to be unable to walk. I jollied her into some walking but she lagged behind as if she could barely keep up. I tried for about a week, and gave up. So, despite a bad back, I carry stuff for her! Who’s the smart one here?

So, did woo dekhorate anything with those nice feety feet?

I really wish woo would have waved the khool air a bit more north…it still pushed khlose to 80 here!

    Happy Sunday!
