Which One is Mine?

Our Cousin Tartok was helping with the Independence Day cook-out over at our hu-grandparents house.  He simply wants to make sure the burgers are cooked to his specifications.

Amazingly, we were not invited to attend and our humans went without us.  We are sure we would have been a huge help, but we were at our own house safe and away from all of the fireworks.  Tartok’s safe place is the walk-in closet and he finds that a great place to sleep through all sorts of loud noises.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  Our humans are grumbling about having to go back to work.  We will dream about them during nap time today.

You weren’t allowed to eat ribs and burgers?! Your parents must have taken a cue from my Momster…

When I was still working, I always suspected our dogs were rather glad to see us leave after a long weekend so their sleep wouldn’t be interrupted. Glad you had a good Independence Day. I loved the last post as well. Great shots on the deck.

I can’t believe you weren’t invited to the BBQ. What sort of new animal torture is that???

I think the Herd was very smart to stay home and avoid all the noise.

I gots very upset over it all and will be glad for that holiday not to come again.

    Kisses,

Not only do I have to go back to work today, but my wife and our friends are all on vacation! 🙁

Those poor pampered pups who’ll be napping while you work today. Based on that dichotomy, I often conclude that our dogs are actually much smarter than we are. They’ve trained us as servants who work our fingers to the bone to feed them good food!

Wooos! No hamburgers for you? poor pups, but I did not get any either, just the same old dog food. I hop you had a safe 4th!

Always tough to get back in the routine after a long weekend of relaxation and fun. TD won’t get much napping in today – he is off to the groomer to shed some of his multiple winter coats and Phantom will be off to the vet late afternoon to get ready for surgery tomorrow. Happy napping, pups.
