Because of my work, the vast majority of reading I do is work related. But every now and then, I find a non-work related book that just grabs my attention. Adventures with Ari: A Puppy, A Leash, and Our Year Outdoors by Kathryn Miles is one of those books.
I just finished the book yesterday and wanted to share. Ari, of course, can be followed on her blog, but the book is fascinating, particularly for any one who regularly enjoys the connections with nature. Since The Herd regularly hikes in the woods around our house, we enjoyed the explanations of why dogs are better able to connect with nature than we are. As always, it is up to us humans to slow down long enough to learn from our canine pals!
Hope you enjoy the book.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Maybe the next dog related book should be Hiking with the Herd!
