Shedding The Bad Boy Reputation

Typhoon has long had the reputation as the biggest bad boy of the Herd, but he comes to his own defense in today’s Herd post.

The picture of innocence, right?

The picture of innocence, right?

The Little Prince would like everyone to know that his juvenile delinquent reputation is overblown. Oh, sure, he does like trouble. Loves to counter surf. Shreds found pieces of paper (usually found on Hu-Dad’s desk) into tiny little piles of confetti that he neatly stacks into pyramids. Steals envelopes and hides them in his crate (we have no explanation). Back talks and grumbles. Catches rabbits and voles at will. Has a strict no-touching rule that he enforces with the Siberian Death Scream. Refuses to be brushed.

You can stop now, Hu-Dad.

You can stop now, Hu-Dad.

Oops, sorry, Typhoon. In an effort to be modern and sensitive, Typhoon has decided to shed his old label.

I am not a bad boy. I am ethically challenged.

Typhoon is a colorful character. Every family should have one.

I believe I have your older sister Typhoon. She hates being brushed and will run to her crate if I even think about brushing her. She will allow you the privilege of scratching her back, but only when she finds it acceptable and for a limited amount of time. Your time is up when she growls or “grumbles” about you touching her or you get too close to her tail. We have to hide tissues, she will shred them faster than you can look away. She’s also a counter surf and will use any means necessary, including the back of a sofa chair! When she’s laying down by your feet, either on the bed or couch, don’t you dare move your feet, not even a centimeter or she will vocalize her displeasure (growls and grumbles). She’s a character though and once caught a mouse while we were on a walk when I wasn’t paying attention. She had been trying for well over a year to catch one. Mr Typhoon we still love you, just as much as we love our blue eyed husky girl Keeli.

Well, I think I have the third sibling, and second sister. However, Leena loves to be petted…you will pet…or else. Until she’s tired of it, when she will either move on, or start the snarl growl/grumble.

She doesn’t shred, however she does carry her “mail” with her. She will with the daintiest grip possible, carry any piece of mail, sticker, paper with her to wherever and keep it safe while not damaging it in the least and protect it. Where it comes from? Depends…counter surfing is an option at times. She absolutely loves mousing, more than my cat. She catches anything that’s around her besides other pets, and then wonders why the mouse/rat doesn’t want to play/scratches her/bites her before she accidentally kills it. (at least I think it is an accident up until it bites/claws her).
