More Indoor Havoc

The weather forecasts for this weekend keep increasing the amount of rain expected. After a week of non-stop rain, we are gettingĀ creative about the games we invent to entertain ourselves, but we are sure we can create some more indoor havoc.

rain for another 3-4 days

What do you mean it is supposed to rain for another 3-4 days?

While most of the weather attention has been focused on Hurricane Joaquin, there is also a large low pressure over the Southeastern US. The two events are conspiring to draw a significant amount of water in from the Atlantic Ocean and drop a foot or more of rain on us in the next two days. No, that was not a misprint or typo.

inventing more indoor havoc

Wow, a couple of days of inventing more indoor havoc.

For some odd reason, the Hu-Dad has been muttering something aboutĀ being driven to the funny farm, but we have never figured out what is so funny about a farm. Maybe one of our astute readers can explain that to us.

In the meantime, Frankie is really looking forward to what mischief Typhoon will find next.

Have I mentioned how good you are at captions? I always want to ask how you do it, and then I figure… practice.

Indeed – although I’m sure you provide a lot of inspiration!

We would not complain a bit if it rained 40 days in California.

You all must really be looking forward to snow!

Have you considered building an ark? One thing Fi and Abby have always found fun when it rains a lot is to go run around outside, and while they are comfortably drying on the couch, watching me try to clean up all the muddy paw prints. With six of you and all that rain, just imagine how busy you could keep Hu-Dad. He would have so much fun he wouldn’t even have to go look for some farm for fun! šŸ˜‰

We have a similar weather problem in the Philippines, a full week of rain and more coming for the weekend. Silky and Nacho are getting very bored and that usually leads to chewing on sandals, plastic and paper bags. Not to mention romping in the yard and getting nice and muddy.
